An Electromagnetic Counter operates by using electromagnetic principles to measure and record the number of occurrences of a specific event. It typically consists of a coil, a magnetic core, and a counting mechanism. When an event happens, such as the passing of a magnetic object, an electric current is induced in the coil due to the changing magnetic field. This induced current generates a magnetic field that interacts with the core, causing it to move or activate a switch. Each time the current is induced, the counting mechanism increments the count by one. This process allows for accurate tracking of the number of events over time.
